Legislative Coffee Today at 9:00 AM
“In every challenge there is an opportunity.” In pre-COVID times, the Garden City Chamber of Commerce, along with several other southwest communities hosted a Legislative Coffee with southwest state representatives. With gatherings limited, and more virtual events becoming a norm, the Coffee has been moved online. Moving the event to a virtual format, has allowed for additional communities in southwest Kansas to participate.
We encourage community members to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Brew a pot, dress comfy, and enjoy the discussion about the upcoming state legislative year.
Event Details:
• The Coffee will begin at 10:00 AM central time/9:00 AM mountain time.
• The event moderator will be Dr. Bill Clifford, chairman of the Garden City Government Affairs Committee.
• Each legislator will provide opening remarks/updates.
• Following the legislator’s remarks, it will be opened up for community questions. Questions will begin with those collected from each community prior to the event, followed by questions submitted through Zoom and Facebook chat.
• If you have questions of the legislators, please submit them to director@syracuselibrary.info by Friday at 12:00 pm.
