Lois Evelyn Whaler
Lois Evelyn Whaler, 80, died Wednesday October 7, 2020 at her home in Garden City. She was born August 23, 1940 in Horrace, Kansas the daughter of Leonard and Marie (LeMaster) Wallace.
She attended school in Tribune until she met her husband Levi. They were married July 15, 1956 in Holly, Colorado. After marriage they moved to Oregon for a short time, then to Sublette where they settled and raised their children. She moved to Garden City in 2009. Loisenjoyed reading, watching western movies, and loved her dogs. She was known for her strong will and stubborn side, but is remembered most by her family for her loving, caring, and passionate ways.
Survivors include Children- Kelly Birney (Scott) of Garden City, Peggy Eubanks (Stan) of Overland Park, Sherri Rome (Randy Henry) of Syracuse, Dee Lamb (Curtis) of Garden City, Rick Whaler (Julie) of South Carolina, Stacy Whaler (Karmin) of Sublette, Tracy Whaler (Jalane) of Sublette; Grandchildren-Japheth Kerr, Nevada Bagby, Nicole Jacques, Scott Inman, Jason Eubanks, Joshua Eubanks, Randy Rome, Aaron Rome, Betsy Myers, Dustin Lamb, Justin Whaler, Krista Whaler, Preston Sabata, Erica Whaler, Levi Whaler, Daryan Whaler, and Payton Whaler; 21 Great-Grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband- Levi Whaler, Daughter- Beverly, and 4 Siblings- Ira, Eva, Laura, and Lawrence.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday October 12, 2020 at the Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette, Kansas with Mickey Birney officiating. Visitation will be Sunday October 11, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Finney County Humane Society in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted by visiting our website www.garnandfuneralhomes.com.
