Troy Logan Cartwright
Troy Logan Cartwright was born in Tribune, Kansas on December 12, 1960 to Lowell and Jan (Peterson) Cartwright of Kendall, Kansas. Troy passed away April 13, 2021 at his home in Syracuse, Kansas. His growing up years were spent on the farm north of Kendall. Troy graduated from Syracuse High in 1979. He attended Fort Hays State University for a short time where he developed lifelong friendships. Troy returned to the Kendall farm community working many years at the Farmer's Coop. He was very social and enjoyed visiting with the customers as he delivered fertilizer and fixed tires. In more recent years, he resided in Syracuse, Kansas and was employed by U.S.D. 494 until his retirement.
Troy is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Sheri (Gary) Floyd of Ozawkie, Kansas; JaNell (Don) Bosco of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Jana Rhea Cartwright of Wichita, Kansas; John (Janice) Cartwright of Olathe Kansas and David Cartwright of Syracuse Kansas. Also surviving include nieces and nephews: Mikeal (Mandy) Floyd; Jennifer Bosco; Alicia (Michael) Johnson; Craig (Melissa) Bosco; Heath (Mandy) Cartwright; Justin (Kaci) Cartwright; Ashley (George) Sherer; Samantha Marsten and Rowdy Cartwright. He was preceded in death by his parents Jan & Lowell Cartwright and niece Kellee (Floyd) Musil.
Those who knew Troy will remember him as friend to many, detailed story teller, and collector of Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. Troy had a vast knowledge of cars and appreciation for all genres of music, which were frequently the topic of his conversations. He was especially fond of his nieces and nephews who will remember his " tall tales" and political "discourse".
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Syracuse United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM (MDT).
