It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry “Stringbean” C. Wade, who left us on March 29, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on June 9, 1955, in Garden City, Kansas, to Bill Wade and Geraldine Mader William, he traveled through life with an adventurous spirit, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and joy.
Terry was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Debbie, and a proud father to his children. His warmth and boundless generosity made him a cornerstone in their lives and the lives of many others. A true prankster with a strong sense of humor, Terry brightened every gathering with his infectious laughter and lively storytelling, often sharing tales that had everyone in stitches.
Throughout his life, Terry embraced his passions, whether it was riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, or traveling. He was a skilled heavy equipment operator and diesel mechanic, ensuring that he could tackle any challenge that came his way. His loyalty knew no bounds; he was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. A true family man, he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, imparting wisdom and knowledge to his children and grandchildren. He took immense pride in teaching them everything he knew, instilling values of hard work, kindness, and faith.
In recent years, Terry grew to nurture a deep personal relationship with the Lord, embracing his faith and allowing it to shape his life positively. His journey led him to trust in God’s plan and share his love for Jesus with those around him.
As we celebrate the life of Terry, his spirit will shine on in the memories we share and the lessons he taught us. He leaves behind a family and community who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Terry was predeceased by his mother and sister Sherri Trussell.
Terry is survived by his wife, Debbie of Washington; daughters Courtney Wade of Newton, Kansas, Jennifer Guerrero of Washington, Rachel Wade of Sedgwick, Kansas and Sarah Wilshusen of Centennial, Colorado; grandchildren Trevin Wade, Ali Wade-Hicks, Devin Jorden, Angela Beyer, JT Beyer, Jacob Guerrero, Marijane Guerrero, Sophia Wilshusen, Ali Wilshusen and Asher Wilshusen; father Bill Wade; siblings Larry Wade of the Philippines, Mitchell William of Kendall, Kansas, Melodie Hixon of Ensign, Kansas, Chanel Casqueira of Modesto, California, Michelle Wade of Modesto, California and KC Wade of Modesto, California.
